Crimson Petal

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its vibrant red stem is thin, and the tiny, gentle red and red leaves are long, tapering with irregular edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Each stem splits 2 to 8 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 15 cm (5.9 inches) wide, with cyan petals and a yellow center. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. They are very delicate.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like rotten eggs, and it has lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
