Silverfern

This silver moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In heathlands.
It is massive, growing up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely light.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
