Amber Fruit Tree

This colossal fruit tree grows up to 65 feet (19.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 22 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in delicate, waxy, yellow bark, and inside, the very hard wood is burgundy.

The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, broad, flat leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are green on the edges and orange at the center.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of small, peach blossoms with spear shaped petals. They fall easily and have a faint scent that smells like a newborn baby.

In late summer it produces , oval fruit. The smooth brown skin is thick and inedible, and the slightly crunchy amber flesh is sweet and spicy and very dry. The cream seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
