Blueberry Tree

This massive fruit tree grows up to 66 feet (20.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 84 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in fine, cracked, dark green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is dark brown.

The excessive amount of branches are very long and thick and are covered with handfuls of miniature, finger-like leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are slate and sky blue.

In early spring, it produces dozens of giant, orange blossoms with asymmetrical petals. They detach easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like warm cookies.

In early winter it produces very large, needle-like fruit. The crispy black skin is thin and sweet and spicy, and the crunchy cream flesh is bitter and salty and dry. The blood red seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
