Slatevine

This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 41 feet (12.5 meters)0.

It takes 3 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are tough and woody.

The very narrow and elongated, clammy leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are found in slate and vivid orange varieties, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of giant pink flowers.
