Silverberry

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 189 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many thick, angular stems covered in very thick, rough, black with white speckled bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are long and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, perforated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of silver that gradient shifts to pink at the top, sturdy and soft.

It produces a handful of small, aquamarine flowers with 2 kidney-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a weak scent that smells like freshly washed clothes. In early summer it forms giantcrimson, shelled seeds.
