Goldenrod
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This colossal caudiciform grows up to 142 feet (43.3 meters) tall. The tapering stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines. It has a slanted, narrow, slate trunk atop a very thick tripod of waxy, exposed roots. The branches are slender and subtle green and are very short, thin and wispy.
The serrated-edged, thick leaves are deep yellow and beige. They are strong, but do not detach easily.
It is steady-growing, taking 21 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid lime petals decorated with peach dots and a red central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 5 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a faint scent that smells like grass cuttings.
The caudiciform's skin is thick, the sky blue flesh is sticky, and the pink sap is thin.
