Copperleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This giant leaf succulent grows up to 114 feet (34.7 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is copper, and is covered in lots of flexible dark brown spines. The ripped-edged, thin leaves are light red on the edges and gold at the center. Small bunches of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are resilient, and take some effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 29 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either crimson or cyan, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like coconut.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the peach flesh is soft, and the purple sap is thin.

The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is very delicate and is easy to kill.
