Bloodgrass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small, blood red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in sparse patches that are resilient and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, orange puff.
During the mid-autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
