Blood Red Vine

This huge flower grows up to 12.9 feet (3.9 meters) tall. Its pink-red stem is very thick and straight with a curved tip, and the giant, blood red leaves are wispy with irregular edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Each stem splits 5 to 10 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 72 cm (28.3 inches) wide, with lilac petals and a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They are hardy.

It has the faintest scent that smells like onion, and it has very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
