Blackvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 37 feet (11.3 meters) and growing as high as 306 feet (93.3 meters).

It takes 2 years for the green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The very thick, waxy leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are generally black, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of large copper flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a few small berries.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
