Emerald
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 48 feet (14.6 meters) and growing as high as 31 feet (9.4 meters).
It takes 4 years for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and gnarled.
The 5 pointed, soft leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are grey on the sides and white at the center, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of large orange flowers.
