Copperbell

This small flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its copper stem is very thin, and the giant, cream and hazel leaves are stiff, pointed with wavy edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Each stem splits 3 to 5 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are generally dark brown; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. They detach easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like bonfire smoke, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
