Bloodfire

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 115 feet (35.1 meters) tall. The thick stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in brittle blood red spines. The stumpy leaves are found in beige and blue varieties. Large amounts of them grow on very thick, gray-green branches that are long, thin and wispy. The leaves are flimsy, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with blood red petals and a bright blue central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. It has an overpowering scent that smells like apple.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the caramel flesh is soft, and the sky blue sap is thin.
