Red Clinger

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) tall. Its silver or florescent red stems grow in bunches of 7 and are very thick with a curved tip, and the miniature, gray-green leaves are thin with tattered edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Many large flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with blood red petals and a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 33 petals. They detach easily.

It has a fairly strong scent that smells like fermented fruit, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
