Amber vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 20 feet (6.1 meters)0.

It takes 9 months for the dull yellow stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are tough and woody.

The slender, pointed, sticky leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are aquamarine and amber, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of small slate flowers.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
