Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In damp forests, and In moorlands.
It is big, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
