Slateleaf Succulent

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 57 feet (17.4 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is lime green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible pale yellow spines. The finger-like leaves are cream and slate. Small amounts of them grow on stocky, emerald branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are resilient, and do not detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are blue on the underside and amber on the top grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 40 petals. It has a soft scent that smells like rotten eggs.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the light blue flesh is smooth, and the slate sap is thin.
