Copper Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 667 feet (203.3 meters).

It takes 8 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and woody.

The 9 pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are yellow-green with grey tips, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces dozens of giant pink flowers.

It grows well in the sun and full shade.
