Bloodvine

This average-sized cactus grows up to 35 feet (10.7 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 2 pleated stems. Each stem is magenta or blood red, and is dotted with small black spines.

It is fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid intense red petals decorated with deep green lines and a caramel central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like rotting meat.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the green flesh is smooth, and the copper sap is thin.
