Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall. The wispy stem is brown, and is covered in thousands of flexible subtle green spines. It has a straight, stocky, bronze trunk atop a round web of rough, exposed roots. The branches are stocky and ashy yellow or lime and are tall, rigid and upright.

The jagged-edged, thick leaves are hazel on the sides and olive at the center. They are light, but easily come away when pulled.

It is slow growing, taking 13 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with each petal a slightly different shade of slate grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 38 petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like bonfire smoke.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the white flesh is smooth, and the purple sap is thin.

It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
The sap is edible and extremely salty.
