Bluevine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 43 feet (13.1 meters)0.

It takes 7 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The perforated, sticky leaves reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in length. They are blue and beige, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several tiny blue flowers.
