Crimson Spire Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainy mountain ranges, In heathlands, and In bogs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely tough.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores.
