Bronze

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This large fruit tree grows up to 44 feet (13.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 56 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in silky, black bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pine-coloured.

The excessive amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of miniature, perforated leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are either slate or hazel, with green streaks.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of tiny, silver blossoms with many layers of petals. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like new carpet.

In early summer it produces very large, perforated fruit. The leathery bronze skin is tough and edible when boiled; it is sweet and spicy, and the slightly crunchy white flesh is bitter and oily. The lime seeds are tiny and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
