Crimson Coconut

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its pink-red stem is very thick, and the miniature, green leaves are very thick with smooth edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Dozens of medium-sized flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of faded red. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of tightly layered narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a powerful scent that smells like coconut, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
