Lime Green Succulent

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 2 wide stems. Each stem is lime green, and is dotted with small brown spines. The spherical body is cream and gray-green, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid hazel spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are slate on the underside and sky blue on the top grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotten egg.

The cactus's skin is thin, the cream flesh is rubbery, and the indigo sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.
