Copper Clump Moss
Moss type: MossThis copper moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is very flexible; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
All parts of the moss are edible.
The bark is frequently covered in moss.
