Copper

This short leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The pleated stem is purple, and is covered in brittle silver spines. The rounded-edged, circular leaves are copper at the bottom and purple with pink splotches at the top. Large amounts of them grow from the base in tight-packed layers. The leaves are frail, and do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with violet petals that gradient shift to blue on the outer edge. The central disk is yellow, grow at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the red flesh is soft, and the lime sap is thin.
