Caramel

This average-sized flower grows up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) tall. Its brown stem is thick and splits into 5 branching stems halfway up, and the small, gray-green leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single giant flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 26 cm (10.2 inches) wide, with solid caramel petals and an ashy red central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They fall easily.

It has an intense scent that smells like musk, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
