Copperrose

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its brown stem is very thick and splits into several branching stems at the top, and the giant, orange-yellow leaves are 7 pointed with serrated edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

2 to 6 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide, with solid gentle yellow petals decorated with beige lines and a copper central disk. The flower head is made up of 8 petals in raised layers. They are very delicate.

It has a faint scent that smells like an ocean breeze, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.
