Sunset Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The wide stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in dozens of rigid olive spines. The tattered-edged, perforated leaves are generally green. Small bunches of them grow from the base in no particular order. The leaves are strong, but take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with alternating petals of bright red and sky blue, with a pastel orange central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is shaped like a tube with 17 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like a newborn baby.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the bronze flesh is rubbery, and the peach sap is thin.
